Possessing The Seven Mountains Of Society I

Seven-Mountains1

I know he rescued my soul

His blood covered my sin

I believe…

My shame is taken away.

Sang the praise leader as he walked briskly into church. He had always found so much peace and joy in His presence and didn’t expect today to be any different. He had become familiar with church activities.

Today!

Veils were torn!

Covering cast lifted!

Fallow grounds broken!

And he had a fresh encounter as DC Angels ministered in Detrick Hadon’ s “Holy Spirit take rest in me”

Aha! He said as Pastor EmekaNwokike spoke on THE SEVEN MOUNTAINS OF SOCIETY. He quickly brought out word note and scribbled the highlights of today’s message;

  • God brought us out of Egypt to serve Him in a land flowing with milk and honey
  • While we are alive, God has a plan for every single one of us.
  • If you are in the kingdom of darkness, you can never fulfil destiny. This is because with Pharaoh being your boss, you can never fulfil your destiny.
  • You don’t know about God by explanation but by revelation
  • They that know their God shall do exploits. It is not by intellectual discourse
  • The aspect of God you have seen is the aspect of God you manifest
  • Your identity is hidden in Him – when you know Him, you understand who you are called to be.
  • Stop praying for your enemies to go away, ask Him to prepare a table for you in the presence of your enemies.
  • Jesus said “occupy till I come, not hang around till I come”
  • 99% of ministry is not in church but outside church
  • We don’t serve a dead leader, we serve a risen Christ
  • We are the salt of the earth
  • The land flowing with milk and honey (the Promised Land) has giants and we are to contend with those giants and destroy them (Deuteronomy 7:1)
  • That land flowing with milk and honey are the seven mountains of the society which are Media, Family, Government, Religion, Education, Economy and Celebration (Entertainment, Sports, Art & Culture).

“Don’t be heavenly bound and earthly useless. In other words, your Christianity should not end in church. You have to take God into the different spheres of the society” Pastor Emeka said as he summarized.

It all made sense now. He knew what he has to do. The die was cast, the decision to make himself available for the coming trainings (Monday 25th –Friday 29th July) was made and the deal sealed in his spirit man.

As the service drew to a close, he knew this was home (Psalm 68: 6) and he needed to be equipped for the life ahead of him. “Can’t wait for the next time with God in the company of the Brethren” He said as he left church grinning from ear to ear.

You think today’s service was extraordinary, next week’s promises to be more extraordinary…
